The basic question to survive (The five W’s)

The five W’s are well known within the journalism world. They are a series of questions helpful to get specific information. For this reason, they’re the basic at the moment to communicate with others. In AllSpanish we’ll tell you how to use the five W’s! keep reading!

Accordingly to this theory, the five basic questions to survive in a different language are:

  • What
  • When
  • Where
  • Why
  • Who

If you realize ay of these questions can be answered with a simple «yes» or «no» so that, you’ll receive more information or if someone is asking you, you’ll have to give more information.

Equally important are to the last list two frequent questions: HOW–> ¿CÓMO? and WICH/WICH ONE/S?–> ¿CUÁL/CUÁLES?

How can I use the five W’s and the frequent questions?

During the first levels of any language course, you’ll learn the way to ask determined kinds of things in determined circumstances. For example, when we meet a new person or when we are in a place that we’ve never been to before.

Let’s try to get together all the common sentences when they appear:
